The club's annual Summer Party will be held this year on Friday evening, July 23rd. The party will start at 6:00 PM at Karin and Barry Seiller's home in Lake Forest. The club will provide brats, burgers, chicken and all the sandwich fixin's. Please bring an appetizer, side dish, or dessert to share. Sodas and water will be provided, but please bring your own beer or wine.

Our next Meet 'N Greet will be this Saturday, June 26 after the Club Run! Bring your friends and your family and stick around for treats, baked goods, coffee, and juice. ALSO! Kira, the local representative from Brooks, will be on hand to show off Brooks shoes and products and give away free Brooks gear! AND! We will be welcoming members of the Chicagoland Brooks ID program, a program formed to help foster active lifestyles and inspire people to reach new heights in their running. Our next Meet 'N Greet is this coming Saturday, May 15! Plan on staying after the run this Saturday to Meet 'N Greet the new faces (and the old ones) in the running club. This is also a great opportunity to bring those friends you want to introduce to the best running club on the North Shore. We'll have bagels and fruit, coffee and juice so there will be something for everybody! Also, Kate Smith had her 50th birthday last week, and she invites you all to have some birthday cake to help her celebrate. See you all there!

The club's first Meet 'N Greet of the year is this coming Saturday, February 13, 2010! Please plan to stick around after the run this Saturday, and invite your running friends and neighbors for coffee, juice, bagels, sweet rolls and other goodies. A fun, non-competitive neighborhood 5K and 10K open to all, with food, drink, and prizes after the run. Sponsored and produced by the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Running Club and the Lake Forest Bank. Location start at West Lake Forest train station - NW corner of Waukegan and Everett Roads. (Note: This is not the same train station the club meets at for Saturday morning runs.)

Please join us on Saturday, December 13th, when we will have our annual Holiday Tree Run. Hopefully we've all been nice (and not naughty), and Santa Claus will be joining us to trim the tree and sing a few carols before we run back to the train station for goodies. LFLB RC 2008 Chicago Marathon Aid Station   Chicago, IL, 2008-10-12 - 2008-10-12 July 7, 08:11

Be a volunteer at this year's Chicago Marathon on October 12! The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Running Club will be assisting at the Mile 23.2 mark, also known as Aid Station #18. The station is located on S. Michigan Avenue, between 33rd and 34th Streets. Volunteers who register by 9/26/08 will receive a cool Nike 2008 Marathon jacket and hat. Ask for the jacket/hat assigned to you at the aid station check-in. Please note that due to new liability/insurance limitations, the marathon staff are unable to have children under the age of 13 participate as a volunteer. Check-in is at the corner of S. Michigan Ave. and 34th Street. From the Dan Ryan Expressway 90/94, exit at 35th Street, go east to S. Michigan Ave. This is the Sox Park/Cellular Field exit. Parking is free and available near the aid station. Parking lots are located near the corner of S. Michigan Ave. and 35th Street. Arrive by 7:15am. If late, various marathon-use roads (i.e. 35th Street) will be closed!! If you already signed up at the train station, you have already been registered.
