Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Running Club Saturday Morning Run
The club's main run meets every Saturday morning year 'round at 8:00 a.m. at the Lake Forest east train station. The course has been measured by metric wheel, and is exactly 6 miles and 387 meters in length. This works out to 6.23967 miles, or simply 6.24 miles. The course was measured taking all applicable tangents at all turns to arrive at the 6.24 mile distance.
(The course has also been measured keeping to the right side of the road at all turns, for a total distance of 6.33 miles.)

The Course
- Start at beginning of north parking lot, heading north from east side of train station.
- Turn right (east) on to Westminster, and continue east to Lake.
- Turn right (south) on to Lake, and proceed to beach boat ramp.
- Turn left (east) down boat ramp to Lake Forest beach.
- Follow beach path south to boat ramp up to Lake.
- Proceed noth on Lake to Spring.
- Turn left (west) on Spring and continue to Mayflower.
- Turn left (south) on to Mayflower, and continue south to Walden Road.
- Turn left (east) on Walden Road and follow through ravine.
- Continue through ravine over foot bridge onto Bluffs Edge Drive.
- Head south on Bluffs Edge Drive to Westleigh.
- Turn right (west) on Westleigh and continue to Walden Lane.
- Take half-right (northwest) on Walden Lane and continue to Sheridan.
- Continue straight (west) on Sheridan past Barat College to bike path.
- Turn right (north) on bike path and continue to train station.
- Continue through parking lot to Westminster and turn left (west) at Westminster.
- Turn left (south) on west platform of train station to first support post.
The Mile Markers
- Mile 1 - on Lake, 24 meters north of left turn down boat ramp to Lake Forest beach.
- Mile 2 - on Lake after boat ramp up, 47 meters south of Spring.
- Mile 3 - on Mayflower, 47 meters north of Illinois.
- Mile 4 - on Walden, 40 meters after right turn off of Westleigh.
- Mile 5 - on bike path heading north, 528 meters after right turn on to bike path.
- Mile 6 - in parking lot after foot bridge, 62 meters south of Deerpath.
- Finish - on west side of train station at first support post.
