2011 Chicago Marathon Aid Station #4

Document Actions
Be an Aid Station Volunteer at the 2011 Chicago Marathon on October 9th!

The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Running Club will be assisting at the Mile 5.75 mark, also known as Aid Station #4. The station is located on Cannon Drive, just north of Fullerton Parkway.

IMPORTANT NOTE : This year we are at Aid Station #4 once again (as opposed to Aid Station #18 in previous years), so plan to arrive very early. Please plan on arriving for check-in no later than 5:15 AM! Further details are on the registration page.

There are a limited number of volunteer slots available to us this year, so please register as soon as possible. You must register to be a volunteer online at : www.ChicagoMarathon.com/AidStation04Volunteers. Once you click on the link, scroll down a little on the 'Aid Station #04 Volunteers' page and then click on our running club logo. You will be directed to an informational page. Then select Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Running Club from the 'Group Name' drop down selection list, enter lflb for the 'Password', and click the 'Join Group' button. You will be directed to the registration page. Fill in all of the required information, including whether you agree to the waiver or not, and then click on the 'Join Group' button.

Due to the limited number of volunteer slots, it is very important that you plan on committing to the event if you register as a volunteer. If your plans change at the last minute, and you cannot fulfill your volunteer obligations, please make arrangements for a friend or family member to take your place so that your volunteer slot is filled.

Please note that due to liability/insurance limitations, the marathon staff are unable to have children under the age of 16 participate as a volunteer.

Please plan to arrive by 5:15 AM, and staying until around 10:30 AM. If late, various marathon-use roads will be closed!!

Contact club member and volunteer leader Rick Young for more information. Thanks, and have fun!
