The annual Tim Plum Run will be held as usual on Thanksgiving morning, starting from the
Most important, remember to bring some non-perishable goods to contribute to the Northern Illinois Food Bank. As we all know, there are more people than ever in need of help this year, and the food banks and other charities are requesting extra assistance, so please be as generous as possible. No doubt they would be happy to accept a monetary contribution if you would prefer. This is a great way to start your Thanksgiving holiday.
Be sure to get your Holiday Party reservations in as soon as possible. The party will be held again this year at the Highland Park Country Club. The date is Friday, December 5, at 6:00 PM. Come for great food, music and entertainment. Plus, it is such fun to get together once a year with your fellow runners not wearing running attire.
The year's highlights and awards for outstanding accomplishments and services to the club will be featured. If you do not already have one, you can download the Holiday Party reservation form from the club website: www.lflb.org.
Hope to see you there!
Attention all LF/LB club members! There are several opportunities to volunteer for the club board for next year. This is your chance to get involved in organizing club activites, both on the social and the running sides, and we are also looking for someone to take over the news function. Please consider helping out. If you are interested, let Joanne or any other board member know.
RACE NEWS
Thanks to club VP Amy Haney, who sent us this recent race news:

However, he pulled it together and signed up a week before the Monumental Marathon, laced up, and ran an impressive 2:50:18, placing 14th. I believe this was a nearly 3 minute PR improvement for him also!
