LF/LB RUNNING CLUB - AUGUST 2008
The first annual Running Club Relay will be held on Saturday, August 23 at the train station, 8AM. Each relay team will consist of two randomly selected partners, who will each run twice on the 5K course. Join the fun and compete for fantastic awards !
CHARITY EVENTS - Help a good cause AND have a great time:
On Saturday evening, September 6, Equestrian Connection in Mettawa will hold their 3rd annual barn party, featuring a concert by Livingston Taylor, James Taylor's brother. This event will benefit families who are unable to afford therapy for their children with disabilities. For more information check out

Also scheduled for September 6, GLASO (Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Assoc) is holding a 5K twilight run and party starting and ending at the Gorton Center in Lake Foest. Race time is 6PM. Visit www.glaso.org for further information and to print an entry form.
On Sunday evening, October 12, you can join the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night walk in Glenview at the Gallery Park to help raise funds and awareness to help fight cancer. The society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. Light the Night is an annual nationwide walk to commemorate lives touched by cancer.
