Donate your old running shoes this Holiday Season!
Do you have a need to do something worthwhile this holiday season with all of those old pairs of running shoes accumulating in your home? Bring your old running shoes to the club run these next few Saturdays (12/1, 12/8, 12/15 or 12/22), and club members Tina McDonie and Mike Terry will collect them and make sure they get to  the right place!

The shoes will be donated to One World Running, founded in 1986 by a group of runners in Boulder, Colorado. The shoes are sorted, washed, and sent to Africa, Haiti, and Central America. The shoes that are beat up and not suitable for shipment are sent to Nike in Beaverton, Ore., through Boulder's Eco-Cycle program, to be ground up and made into running tracks and playgrounds through the Reuse-a-Shoe program. You can read more about One World Running at www.oneworldrunning.com.

Questions? See Tina McDonie or Mike Terry at one of the next four club runs, or e-mail tmtrisport@comcast.net. Thanks!
