Upcoming Events:
Our Social Directors, Rick Young and Leigh Stewart, are busy planning the 2007 Chilly Chili contest, which will be held on Sunday, March 4 from 3-6PM at the
Also, the annual Fashion Show will be held at Lambs Farm again this year. The date is set for Wednesday, April 11, at 6PM, which gives you only a couple months to get those winter legs in shape to model summer running attire. Pizza, pasta and salad will be served buffet-style.
Other events Rick and Leigh are looking toward: A Saturday Meet & Greet at the station on May 19, a family track meet tentatively scheduled for June 22 at Lake Forest High School, and the summer barbeque at the Seiller home in July. More information and dates to follow.
Races:
The March Madness Half Marathon in
The Chicago Shamrock Shuffle 8K Race and 5K Fitness Walk is scheduled for Sunday, March 25. Registration will close when a combined total of 30,000 entrants is reached.
The Equestrian Connection Races (Trail Marathon, Trail Half Marathon, 5K and Childrens Fun Run) will be held on Saturday, April 28 in Independence Grove and on the Des Plaines River Trail. This race is organized and directed by club member Diana Schnell and benefits the Equestrian Connection Therapeutic Riding Center in Lake Forest. Register online at www.active.com, or obtain an entry form from Diana, at the station, or at Running Right in Highland Park.
